Austin’s Family Photoshoot

Family photoshoots are one of my most popular sessions and I absolutely love them. 

Most families choose to have their photoshoot at my studio in Garforth, Leeds mainly because of how unpredictable our weather can be (it’s pouring it down outside as I type this very sentence!). 

The majority of families want a light, bright and carefree feel to their session so I usually suggest wearing simple, relatively informal clothing and we use the walls of my studio and some white voile curtains as our backdrop. 

This is a setup that I adore because the light spreads evenly and flatteringly across everyone and the focus is on my beautiful families and the connection they share. 

Austin’s mummy actually booked me for a maternity shoot but then eager little Austin arrived early - just a couple of days before Jenny was scheduled to have her session with me. 

We transferred their deposit to a newborn shoot but due to a couple of winter bugs going around at the time we ended up delaying the shoot until Austin was a little older. 

Austin isn’t sitting up just yet so when it came to his solo shots we did a few of him laying down.

But the magic really happened when I popped him on his front for some tummy time photos. 

After a quick outfit change everyone was ready to go again and we managed to get some beautiful intimate images of Austin snuggling his lovely parents.
