Spa Days for Expectant Mums In Leeds (and beyond!)
Spa Days for Expectant Mums In Leeds (and beyond!)
Every expectant mum deserves a little pampering during her pregnancy (you are growing a human after all) so I have put together a list of spas that offer treatments specifically designed with mums-to-be in mind.
The lovely spa at Thorpe Park Hotel offers a Pre Natal Massage which uses grape seed oil to soothe tension, promote circulation and of course provide a moment of blissful relaxation.
The spa has a swimming pool, steam room and jacuzzi but always seek advice from your doctor before using such facilities.
They also have a lovely restaurant on site (with the absolute best sticky toffee pudding!) and plenty of other treatments to choose from.
It’s the closest spa to where I live so I definitely have first hand experience of this one and can personally recommend it.
Eastthorpe Hall Holistic Day Spa Retreat
Eastthorpe Hall offer a Yummy Mummy package which includes a massage, feet pampering, hand conditioning and tasty nibbles and lots of complimentary cuppas!
Even better, all of their packages can be adapted to be made suitable for any stage of pregnancy so even if the Yummy Mummy Package doesn’t appeal, they will definitely offer something that does.
Confession time, I think almost everyone I know has been to Titanic Spa but I never have! It looks lovely though and I’ve heard really good things about it so it definitely had to make the list.
The spa offers a mum-to-be massage which is suitable from the 1st trimester onwards. They also have a pool, sauna, steam room and hydrozone.
The gorgeous Oulton Hall offer a Bump Beautiful massage which includes a gentle back exfoliation. Definitely try out their afternoon tea whilst there - it’s so good.
Wood Hall Hotel is a beautiful country house set in a picturesque location. The Classic Mother To Be Spa Day combines a pregnancy massage, facial and pedicure as well as lunch or afternoon tea.
What To Take With You For Your Spa Day
Flip flops. Although lots of spas offer complimentary slippers you might feel more comfortable wearing flip-flops, just make sure they’re clean!
A robe. Again, lots of spas offer robes to their guests but you might find your bump doesn’t quite fit inside so you may prefer to take your own
2 Swimsuits. There’s nothing worse than sitting in a cold and wet swimsuit so take a spare that you can change into if you feel like it.
Bobble. Your hair probably isn’t going to look all that glamorous after a dip in the pool so put your hair in a bobble and forget about it.
Book/magazine/iPad. You’re there to relax and switch off so after using the spa facilities and enjoying a treatment or two it’s nice to find a lounger and lay back with something to read.
