Family Photography Sessions are suitable for babies aged 8 weeks and older. For younger babies, please see my Newborn Photography page.
It may be a cliche but time really does fly. Take this opportunity to capture a timeless portrait of your family before the moment has passed.
What Happens at Your Shoot
I create a very relaxed environment for my family photoshoots because every family member needs to feel comfortable (especially the dads who are often being dragged along!) and the best way to capture the natural smiles that you love so much is by giving your little ones time to warm up to me and my camera. My Family Photography Sessions might take a little longer than others but I think it's totally worth the extra effort for those genuine heartwarming smiles.
How To Book
A £99 non refundable retainer is required in order to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your final invoice.

- All images from your gallery in high resolution, fully edited, on a USB stick

Austhorpe Photography is based in Garforth, Leeds however we have clients travelling from Wakefield, Wetherby, Harrogate, York and beyond for our Family Photography Sessions.
What Happens at a Family Photography Session?
Before your shoot I will be in touch to discuss the look and feel you are hoping to achieve at your portrait session. Some clients love informal photos of their children, wearing casual clothes, and playing with toys, others prefer a polished look with formal attire and a more posed set - the choice is entirely yours and I just need to establish your preference beforehand so that we can both prepare accordingly.
I will offer guidance on what clothes and colours work well together as well as going over what I would suggest avoiding.
When you arrive at your shoot, your children will be given as much time as they need to settle into their new surroundings. I know from experience that all children (from babies to teenagers) take a little while to warm up to the studio environment. We want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved so there’s absolutely no rushing.
Once everyone is relaxed, we will start creating your images in the style that we have already discussed.
After your shoot I will edit approximately 20 images and invite you back to the studio to view your gallery and place your order.
